Benjamin Louis Bolton, 64, of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, July 25, 2009.

Mr. Bolton was a native of Halifax County, the son of the late James Thomas Bolton and Annie Pauline Bell Bolton.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa V. Bolton; his son, Richard "Ricky" Bolton, of Roanoke Rapids; two stepdaughters, Aileen Stanley of Martinsburg, WV and Angela Jennings of Georgia; one stepson, Robert Doisey, of Jackson, NC; one sister, Alice Tanner, of Roanoke Rapids; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends Monday, July 27, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Dennis W. Gregory, Sr. officiating.
